At camp, Chloe learned how to ride a horse among many other activities. The things she was once afraid to do, she can now overcome and she knows that nothing can stop her. Before camp, Chloe was full of “I can’t, I can’t, I can’t.” Thanks to you she is full of “I can, I can, I can.”
Because of you , Chloe’s life is now full of more possibilities, more dreams and more of a life she can learn to live. I am so unbelievably humbled and grateful. Not only did camp change Chloe’s life, it also saved mine. For the first time in 13 years, I was able to take a deep breath knowing my kids were having fun in a safe and supportive environment. When I went to pick Chloe and John up from camp, they were beaming. They were talking over each other to tell me about their adventures and accomplishments.
They introduced me to new friends all the while hugging them goodbye and promising to keep in touch. My children. My children who have difficulties making friends and forming bonds were hugging other children. Even thinking of it now brings me to tears. Camp empowered Chloe and John to look beyond what they thought was possible. You made it possible for them to dream bigger dreams.
